Host-Directed Therapies to fight infectious diseases
This year, the I4ID congress focuses on Host-Directed Therapies (HDT) to fight infectious diseases. HDT is an emerging alternative approach to treat infectious diseases: it helps overcome antimicrobial resistance and the lack of broad-spectrum virus-targeting drugs.
Two days to discuss immunotherapy and innovation
In order to promote the use of immunotherapy for the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, the two-day I4ID congress aims to foster interactions between pharmaceutical industries, research labs, service providers and technology developers. The I4ID2018 congress also includes keynote lectures, pitches of innovative projects, industrial talks from pharmaceutical companies as well as poster presentations. Topics on the agenda:
- Targeting the immune system to fight bacterial infections
- Targeting the immune system to fight viral infections
- Targeting the immune system to fight sepsis
- Bringing Host-Directed Therapies into clinic: safety and efficiency
- Developing next-generation host-directed therapies
