Protein for research
If you need protein material for target validation, HTS, functional and structural studies, analytic assay development, proof-of-concept of therapeutic activity, etc., we offer our protein for research services.
For each new project, we will develop a personalized strategy taking into account your requirements and constraints, to deliver from milligram to tens of grams of your protein.
Whether you have complete, incomplete or no process information for your protein, we have solutions to develop, improve or transfer your process.
When you do not have a validated protocol for production of your protein
If you have never expressed the protein by yourself or if your preliminary lab trials suggest your protein is a “challenging” one, we will design and perform a feasibility study that will define the best expression conditions for your chosen system. Should you have no prerequisite for a specific expression system, we will recommend the system that proves most suitable for your application, based on our experience with over 800 different proteins in a diversity of systems.
We routinely use the following systems, but are pleased to consider any other system that could be of interest:
- Bacteria (E. coli, L. lactis)
- Yeasts (P. pastoris)
- Insect cells (Sf9, High Five)
- Mammalian cells (CHO, HEK)
Once we have identified the best expression conditions, we will proceed with the production phase to deliver the amount of protein you require. Our expression and production capacities allow us to reach tens of grams per batch.
Our proteins are delivered with a detailed report and a certificate of analysis. Should you need a specific characterization of your protein, we would be pleased to include it in our analytic package.
When a validated process is available for production of your protein
When you can and need to transfer a protocol for the production of your protein, we will integrate your process at GTP.
To ensure a seamless transfer and decrease the risks in the project, our proposal will include a validation phase. This first step allows us to validate that the process works when we apply it, with our equipment and that we achieve the expected results. We will then deliver a detailed report on the transfer feasibility and, if necessary, suggest improvements. You will also receive the protein material obtained from this trial.
When the process is validated, we will proceed to the production phase to deliver the protein to your specifications. The proteins are delivered with a detailed report and a certificate of analysis.
We would be genuinely pleased to discuss your project. So if you have a particular demand, please take a moment to fill in our contact form or send us an email at email@example.com.
