Our mission
Our mission is to find customized solutions to meet your recombinant protein needs. We firmly believe that understanding your business context and objectives is a necessary foundation for determining a project’s success and designing the project strategy.
Based on our experience, we will anticipate the potential difficulties associated with your project and will calculate, with the aid of our risk-based approach, the time and resources necessary to complete the project successfully.
Most of our customers consider us as an extension of their team: we communicate at the same frequency, using similar document formats, with the same openness and confidentiality and the same concern for your success.
Project management
The project manager who discusses your project with you and who establishes the proposal will manage the project from beginning to end in order to maintain the attention necessary to ensure that no contextual information is lost.
We have developed an organization which can manage a large portfolio of projects simultaneously and can integrate new projects on very short notice. In the past few years we have completed an average of 100 projects per year with up to 40 projects at any one time, without an impact on timescales, costs or result quality.
Business approaches
We adapt our business approaches to support the objectives and constraints of the diverse projects we are involved in. We offer several business solutions including fee-for-service, success fee or even risk/profit-sharing approaches for challenging projects.
For one-shot productions or short-term projects, we will probably suggest either a fixed fee-for-service or a mix of fixed-fee combined with a fee-for-result i.e. an agreed upon price for a given quantity of protein. We will provide a custom quotation, dividing a project into phases that provide the opportunity to make GO / NO GO decisions based on previously-defined milestones.
For long-term projects, after we have worked together for a time, it might make more sense to switch to the FTE approach. In this case we will charge for our resources on a monthly basis. This approach results in a shortened decision-making process and allows us to focus our resources on the highest-value activities for you. There again we can be creative together, from a pre-established flat rate per FTE to a low flat rate combined with milestone success fees. If you are a small biotech company, we will make an extra effort to reduce our flat rate in alignment with our cost.
When your company’s sub-contracting policy mandates, we are happy to put in place a Master Service Agreement. We think of constraints such as starting a new project on very short notice, transferring resources from one project to another, “killing” projects in progress, rebates, etc., as opportunities to add value to our relationship.
